Freakoidz!! - Character Showcase: Tyr!

Hello All, I'm back once again with another character breakdown. I've been trying to pace these out but if you like to see them more frequently please let me know. These week I'll be showing of the third and final starting character. After this I will be showing off unlockable characters!

Tyr, the Guardian: The stoic warrior poet Tyr, is our final starting character. He is guided by the spirits of nature to guard the land, and the weak. Tyr starts with the Statuesque trait giving him +50 starting health, making him the character with the most health. To compliment his high hp stat, Tyr's physical defense is also the highest in the game. Tyr is an incredible choice those seeking a run with a high chance of survival. Despite this though Tyr is one of the slowest characters in the game, and has awful magic attack. To compliment his tank nature Tyr starts with two Stone dice. A special defensive dice unique to him. The stone dice give him chance to give him the Protection status, providing him with resistance to all elemental damage for a short time.

Warrior Poet: The design of Tyr was a difficult one to come up with. I wanted a "Tank" style character for the game. I went through about four redesigns before I was happy. He started off a human knight, then a dwarf, a beastman before I finalized the design with Moai head. I was watching a documentary on easter island, and was inspired. I have always loved the look, and enigmatic nature of the Moai, and decided to go with that for Tyr. I wanted to make sure that character was in reverence of the Moai, and not something disrespectful. I also tried to reflect his in his personality, and backstory. He is a true hero, chosen by the Spirits of Nature to help mend the land. At heart he is a poet, but will fight to protect nature, and all that is pure.

Defender of Nature: Tyr's goal in Freakoidz!! has been bestowed upon him. The Spirits of Nature have chosen Tyr to become their Guardian, protecting the World. When the Crimson Corruption began to taint the land, Tyr knew he had to do something. So he journeyed to the Bleak Spire, vowing to take out the source of the Corruption.
